Body rotting under wheel wells

Body rotting under wheel wells

a have a 1991 firebird with the gta package ive been working on fixing it up. under the wheel wells like right next to the wheel near the bottom the metal (its like thick metal park of the unibody mabie im not sure. It is rotting and theres some holes almost by every wheel on that part of the car. just wondering if this is really bad news for my car or if there is a cheap way i can fix it any suggestions would help thankyou.

Any pics? I know I have on spot rotted behind my driver side rear wheel. I believe mine was from aleaking gas cap though.

Pics would be helpful, but you may be able to stop it with chain saw bar oil. It is a common thing for guys to spray drain oil on the underbody to stop rust and keep new rust from developing. I encourage you to google this. I mix wd 40 with bar oil and spray the underneath of my cars with it. It will dry, and stick to everything. Good bar oil has rust inhibitors in it that turn rust into a black color. The tacking agent in bar oil will make it stick and last longer than drain oil. It works. Try it in one spot and see for your self.
