anyone know where I can get a third brake light for an 1986 Trans Am? this would have to be the one year that GM put it on the outside of the hatch at the top.

 

Junkyard is your best bet -- 86 was a very high production year, so there's usually several at the yards I go to at any given time. If you can make the trip down to Atlanta, Pull-a-part sells them for $5.46 plus tax.

I have one from my 89 I can sell. I have to remove it from my original spoiler.

 

Sorry TArocks. The 89' third brake light wont work. I have an 86' and unfortunately USDOT laws made manufactures put the brake light on the outside of the car. thank though.

 

oh I see you mean your car has the high mounted, one at the top of the window.
