broken window how to replace

last night someone tried to break into my car and broke the passenger window. how do i get it replaced? should i just call someone who does glass and has anyone ever had to do this before?

The first thing to do is call your insurance company and find out if you have glass coverage on your car. * In Massachusetts, I pay an extra $65.00 a year for this. Well worth it in my opinion * If you don't have coverage, the cost of replacement will be yours which will result in you ordering parts and labor or, you may choose to obtain one from a salvage yard.

If you have glass coverage, they'll set you up with or recommend a vendor who will either come to your house or workplace to replace it. Or, you could even drive to the shop yourself.

what he said. replacing the glass isnt the easiest thing to do. if you dont have much mechanical skill, youre better off leaving it to a professional.
