Well here it is! This is my budget bird and my $1200 paint job. I have never seen a purple third gen and I wanted one. Also, during the day its a deep dark purple and at night its black! It still needs some touch ups but that will be taken care of soon. Let me know what you guys think. Oh and if you have any purple birds please post!

 

I used to have an 89 trans am that someone had previously painted a metallic deep purple with the decals and such in a grave digger green. I loved that paint job, purple looks so awesome on these cars. Rock the purple!

My car will be purple soon. Thirdgens tend to stand out really well in that color for whatever reason.

 

There is a purple RS that lives in the same town as my dad. I see it almost everytime I go out there...I even parked by it once.

 

There was a purple B4C around back when I was younger. Too bad I'm sure it's long been beat/scrapped.

Curious though, OP, why is the top of the spoiler/roof dull?

 

Its dull because I live in Kentucky - The humidity is stupid out here, Also, I was up at 5 a.m drinking lol so I snapped these shots during the dew point

thier are two purple ones in my town. One is purple and it has like green emblems it looks like its a 91-92 RS

 

Purple Haze was the 4th most popular color on 1992 Camaros (8,588 built), and was only offered that year. The only colors more popular than it were White, Red, and Teal.

Now, how many Purple Haze cars are still on the road and still Purple?

 

I know of ONE here locally.. two if you count BlueZee's convertible. Not sure if he'll be keeping his purple, though.

You better believe it's staying purple. It's a true Z03 Heritage Edition Z28 convertible, so it was purple with silver heritage stripes from the factory. It's getting repainted this fall back to the same scheme but with painted stripes instead of vinyl. We have the correct hood blisters for it too, the silver painted IROC louvers are ugly.








I parted out a pretty trashed out '92 purple haze RS this year too.

 

I plan on making my 3rd gen purple with orange ground effects.
