rear view mirror dimensions???
when I bought my car back, I noticed the button was on the windshield, but the rear view mirror was in the back seat. I went to put it up there, but it looks like the mirror actually doesn't fit!. The button is too big. I've confirmed the button is the stock size (per an ebay auction) but the mirror just appears to be wrong. I want to make sure though. I think I measured it at 8 inches wide and around 2 3/4 inches tall. Is this about right? anyone have any pictures?

Re: rear view mirror dimensions???
Imo if it doss not fit then it is not a GM mirror or it is a really old one.
Just about any gm mirror should fit. Every one I have seen has the same size base. I have had one in my bird out of a 91 z34 and a 99 cavalier as the backing on my original was shot.
Ill check mine for you after dinner.
My button is appox 2cm wide and 3cm tall. I measured it from outside the car, I didn't actually remove the mirror so it may be slightly larger or smaller.
