camaro headlight bar, modify/remove center section
Ok here is the deal, I'm a complete freak when it comes to removing things that serve no function, and a weight **** as well. The headlight bar is quite friggin heavy for what it is....especially since its plastic
. But looking at it, I can't see any reason its one big bar, I want to cut out the center section, and just have 2 headlight housings, they would still bolt up to the bracket on inner side, and fender on outer just like before, difference is they wouldn't have a bar between them.
But Idk if something like this might fail an inspection if its supposed to be an impact bar of sorts....or if they might try to claim the headlights arent fastened securely, even though they would be. Just want some opinions on whether there is any reason I can't cut the center section out to make it into two separate indpendent housings, and like I said, they would bolt up just the same as before.

Kinda sorta maybe, lol. It seems like it would and should, but from a glance I'm not sure it actually does, didn't really look at it much cause I had a lot to do and not a lot of time, probably take a closer look tomorrow when I go back up there, but I am not worried about that, I could make a little bracket.
Really my only concern is if it would fail an inspection over it.

Yea it does, I just replaced my headlight bar and the front bumper cover as well. It does support the front bumper cover in the center section. All I can say is I wouldn't do it.
