i had the same problem kind of. mine had front end damage. insurance comp. had it repaired. i bought the car after this. all aftermarket stamped metel was used. the hood never lined up or the fender. also the door is 3/8 too long on the pass. side . keeping me from lining up the front corner properly. i have put some used original peices on it. what a difference, things actualy fit and line up now

car was never hit the orig fenders had damage and ny rust form a run in w/ a parking lot curb stop, and the pair of 88 fenders that i replaced the factory w/(in picture) fit perfect bit needed body work and at that time i ha no garage so i found new ones from a reputable dealer and now i have this

aftermarket stampings can have their issues, but how do the lower mounts look behind the wheels? on almost every 3rd gen i've had, these points were accidentally used to jack the car up with and always tweaked horribly. unless they're pointing straight down, you'll have a bit of adjusting to do to get things right.

one was damaged due to a "curbing incident"(see above) the other was undamaged i repaired the one and th fenders off an 88 as well as the orig one fit good but were rusty, hence the reason for new ones

Re: Repop fenders wont fit HELP!

the point of my input is that aftermarket stamped peices are hard to find that actually line up right. better off looking for used fenders that fit. i understand the convenience of new ones, but a lot of the time they just dont fit right

I agree, unless you work at a body shop then used GM parts are the way to go.
