rust help

rust help

What's the best way to get raid off rust? I have some on the roof right above the driver pass windows and on the a piller by the front windshield. Also were the battery tray is, and I saw alittle by th passanger side front fender at the top of the wheel.
That the best stuff to use ?

To get rid of it, what you'll have to do depends how bad it is. Just a little surface rust you'll probably be able to get away with sanding, grinding, or a wire wheel and then painting. For bad stuff you'll have to cut it out and then weld in a replacement piece.

If you just want to try and stop it from spreading you can get a rust encapsulating product like por-15 or rust mort and cover it with that.

Get it clean if the metal is good I use POR15 then prime and paint if the metal is bad I cut weld POR15 then prime and paint.

Yea I want to stop it from spreading, I'm not going to paint it for at lease 6 months. So por-15 should work?

Yup just follow directions. For small areas get the started kit it is abut 25 dollars comes with cleaner, etcher, paint, gloves brushes ect....

Get the scale and loose stuff off then use the cleaner and etcher as directed then por 15 it
