Here's my dilemma. 2 1983 Trans Am Pace Cars.

So here are my choices. I bought a 1983 Trans Am Pace Car for $1000.00 in pretty good shape. Runs great with original CFI but needing paint and a little interior work. Underneath is clean.

I just found another Pace Car which is in storage for 3500.00. This one is supposed to be in excellent condition, both body with graphics, and nice interior. Underneath is suspect but will not know until I see it.

Do I stick a couple of grand into the first one for bodywork and drive it or consider the $3500.00 car which supposedly needs no bodywork but will probably need the motor gone thru after sitting for so long.

Lots of variables but I will know more after I see the second car. Lots to think about.

3500 for a really clean car that needs nothing is a lot cheaper than bodywork and paint. Engine could be fine

I'm just a little worried about the underneath of the stored car. I am told it is stored in a "barn", not sure if they mean pole shed and cement or barn with dirt floor. For $3500.00 I could do a lot with the one I have already. Just having a tough time finding covers for the recaro seats.

You need them both. One for daily driving, one for weekends! Seriously, it sounds like you got a deal in the first one.

Found out the other car was and is stored in a pole shed on a dirt floor. Probably needs floor work and possibly a rail, not to mention lines and brakes. Think I am going to pass on it, not even going to look at it (2 hour drive). The guy is firm on $3500.00 and I could do quite a bit with that much on my car.
