Painting Air Filters
Hey guys, just wanted to get some feedback on a recent project that i started that is not done yet. I figured since living in new york city area the car wont be leaving the garage till april or may due to the snow we gotten the last few years. So I figured now would be as good a time as ever to take the plenum and runners off the engine and polish them up real good , change the hoses, replace the valve covers with chrome ones, change gaskets , due a tune up, also want to dress up the entire engine bay with red wire looms and red and steel braided hoses. Also had the idea to paint the air filter and the MAF to match the body color of the car. I havent seen this dont really on this site. And now after doing it , im questioning if it hasnt been done for a reason lol.
I think it came out great. Let me know what you guys think.
Heres some pics.

Re: Painting Air Filters
usually painting plastic winds up with it flaking off. you have to scrub it down pretty good and use a paint ment to bond with plastic, or it just flakes off after a little while.
