Off hand, does anyone know how much the rear hatch weighs on a 88 GTA with the wraparound spoiler?

Just curious since it doesn't pop up when I release it. I require one person to hold the trunk release button and another to manually lift the hatch ( which has NO shocks on it btw ) and hold it there.

Let me tell you...that is a heavy bitch compared to any other trunk/hatch I've laid hands on.

 

105lbs is what I have on my Parts Weight chart.

 

A lot when the shocks give way and the latch smashes you in the back of the head
