Re: Sport Coupe chin spoiler

Found this on google.

It's a 82 z28 but for some reason he used a 85-87 sport coupe bumper up front.

Have one on my sc. I'll try and take a picture tomorrow, it definitely adds to the look of the whole car.

Re: Sport Coupe chin spoiler

Seems to me that the earley Z28 chin spoiler would be the best bet.

I wonder how the Home Depot lip would look on a SportCoupe?

He could try it, but I'm not sure it would drop down where is needs to be to line up with the rockers? I still say Z28 lip.

Re: Sport Coupe chin spoiler

I like the looks of that chin spoiler, but has anyone noticed if it affects cooling, or is a different air dam used along with the earlier version chin spoiler?

The only difference in the bumpers is the GFX, I was just giving an idea of what the lip looks like.

Re: Sport Coupe chin spoiler

No, the 82-84 bumper cover is different than the 85-92 bumper covers, the GFX is not swappable between the two. I have seen someone install a GTA front lip on an 82-84 bumper and it looked pretty dang good.

Re: Sport Coupe chin spoiler

I love the chin spoiler on my car but its my DD and no matter what precautions I take it rubs once and a while. It has a permanent scuff on the tip of the nose because Ive fixed it the best I can "many" times and it still ends up with a scuff. I just have to live with it and if you install one and you like to drive your car than you may also find it rubbing. Sucks if your a perfectionist. Judging from the look of your absolutely beautiful car you just might be.
