92 Bird hatch on 87 TA

Will the hatches be interchangeable.?????

Not to concerned about the attach points above the glass but
what about the hatch to latch/pull down motor.?????

Be the same there or what ?

Thanks...........

The pull down motor should make no difference. THe only difference would be the third brake light. THe 92 hatch will have it on the inside of the glass, so you would have to figure out how to connect that if you want it to work.

Well I know it does for the Camaro...not sure about firebirds. But if it does, that'll be your only obstacle.

Yes, the brake light is under the glass, at the top. On your car, stock, it should be under the spoiler. What you could do is to get at the connector under the trim panel for the hatch motor (the one with the yellow and black wires connected to the trim panel itself), and run the wires back through to get them up above the headliner to where they would be for the 92. However, the late stop lights tend not to work properly...
