Re: ground effects

My '84 was originally like your's w/o the ground effects. You have a lot of work ahead of you to add them. First you will need to buy all the parts including new front and rear bumper covers. Then you will have to take ALL your interior plastics out, including the door panels and rear seats, tail lights etc.... You will be drilling several holes in each body panel. Then, since your car doesn't have the supports on the rocker panels to support the side gfx, you will need to make some custom brackets to hold them. I originally went with 82-84 gfx on mine and then changed my mind and went with the '91-92 style. Just liked them better. As for color, if you want to stay with the '82-84 style, they will be painted silver. It's a big project to convert a non gfx car, but fun too. GL.
Here's a couple pics of mine. I hadn't changed the chin spoiler yet in the pic to the newer style.

I also have an 84, I added the 91/92 style to mine. Turned out pretty good.

It does take a lot of work, and make sure when you create the bracket for them to mount too, make sure you get them in the right location, otherwise the door could scrape on them when closing. My passenger side is doing that some. Need to figure out how to fix this

Re: ground effects

wow, those are expensive and to be honest I don't think i like the look of the front chin on the 82-84 nose. Just something about it doesn't look right, could just be because that's a drawing.

Still not sure how the side skirts would attach with that kit. There would still need to be some sort of bracket attached to the car you would think.

Your car looks nice man. I can't wait to get mine repainted this summer and get it all one color again.

That doesn't look bad. You could definately get a set of used ones off this site from someone parting one out for much less though.
