Where can I get a replacement rear impart bar that's under the bumber cover? Are they hard to replace? ReasOn I ask is because I had my car in the body shop and when they took off the rear cover my inpact bar was melted right above my exhaust so I think I need a replacement, or is it really needed?

 

you mean the plastic egg crate absorber? you will have to get one from a junkyard car, i dont believe they are available new.

Its not "needed" but it give the bumper cover some support, keeps it from sagging, and if you get tapped int he parking lot, it will prevent the car tapping you from smashing into the steel bumper, causing more damage to both cars.

if its a small spot thats melted, who cares? leave it alone

 

Not a small spot, more like a brick or two side my side right above the exhaust lol
