Ok so my 88 Gta has a set of 86 trans am doors with the big long thick arm rest. the previous owner gave a set of black Gta door Panels with cup holders, brackets, arm rest an door handle cover plastics with the bird emblem. I'm looking into putting these door panels on these dOors can it be done or do I have to find 87-92 trans am doors an put those on them

 

The only difference between the "GTA" dooors & "non-GTA" doors is the bracket for the arm rest. If you can get it in the correct spot for the arm rest, everything else will line up just fine.

 

wow i never knew that...i would have thought that the door wouldve been the same.

 

That it was I said....Same doors. Just an extra bracket for the different arm rests.

Friend of mine bought a GTA door from me, took the arm rest bracket off & put it on a Camaro. Swapped out the ground effects pieces & he was done.

 

This will be awesome so pretty much just gotta bolt up the arm rest to the bracket an bolt it to the top an then just drill through the holes an it should line up I think
