Pre-molded or not-premolded stripe kit

I am going to paint the car soon but am trying to figure out the costs of doing the whole project.

Pre-molded stripes are more expensive than not molded.Apparently the "not pre-molded" stripes are easier to install but I'm more interested in quality and durability..

What is the difference in the two?

Thanks!

From what I understand, the non molded stripes need to be streched around the corners and tend to get a little skinnier in those areas as a result of the stretching.

I used non molded stripes on my '88 IROC Vert and thought they looked great.
