A few months ago, my 1991 Firebird got T-boned at an intersection (the other driver ran a stop sign). Finally, after months of dealing with the other driver's insurance company I was able to get my car in the shop.

When I got home, I received a phone call from the shop saying that I would have to come pick my car up, because they couldn't find any driver's side doors for my car.

All I need is a shell, all of the functional components of the door are undamaged. I called Hawk's Third Gen Parts to see if they had any in stock, as their website instructed, but it being the weekend, no one was there to answer, so I left a message.

Long story short, does anyone know where I would be able to get a driver's side door shell in a relatively short amount of time?

I could give you one free if you lived near me. I bought my friends firebird (he wrecked the front end) and the only reason i bought it was to swap the 3 inch exhaust, and 355 out.

Kind of a shotty *** repair shop from the sounds of it. Somethign like that really isnt hard to find, at all.

this program flooded the salvage market with clunkers.It seems a lot of salvage yards crushed the older cars right away to make room for newer cars with a higher demand for their parts.I haven't needed any used parts myself but have heard several people complaining about the same situation,where bodyshops are telling them that there just aren't any parts out there for their cars.
and all the drivetrains were supposed to be destroyed making old cars even less worth keeping around
