Wiper arm removal

Mine are showing age and need to be painted. Was looking at it tonight and was trying to figure it out. I dont want to break them or the windshield. Any suggestions?

There are locks on them that you need to open. You can just push them open with a screwdriver. I wish I could explain it better. Take a close look and you will see what I mean. Once you do that they should just pull off.

Re: Wiper arm removal

when you look at the sides where they mount to the body / wiper transmission you will see a tab that sticks out abit. Looks like a metal tab that comes from underneath the arm. take a flat screwdriver and put it between the arm and the tab and twist it abit to slide it out. Then take a pair of pliers and pull it the rest of the way as you would be able to use your fingers on it
