Removing Rear Defroster

Has anyone removed their rear window defroster? I searched for it and didn't find what I was looking for. I am getting my windows tinted in a couple weeks, I think it will look a lot better without the defroster. If anyone has removed one, how did you do it? If anyone has some pics of what it will look like, that would be sweet. Thanks

Never going to happen unless you sand blast the lines off and thats the only way they will come off... I speak from experience find a Non-Defrost glass...

That's what I was thinking. Do you have any pics of your rear window?

Re: Removing Rear Defroster

razor blade works fine on it, it does stick well to the glass but was put on the smooth glass, that tiny area wasn't prep'ed or sanded, so a sharp edge will get under it.

Though id like to try and "paint" one on my tiny rear window, but know the stock system will need turned down from the loss of glass

Me three. Car looks weird and unfinished/cheap without the defrost grid IMO. I've got the defrost relay and dash switch, so just need a 91-92 defrost rear hatch now...
