source for high rise wing gaskets-?
source for high rise wing gaskets-?
Hawks stopped selling the "gaskets only" kit in Nov. They are still available if you buy the wing.
I know I can make my own but would be willing to buy a kit if one was available.
The old thread (kinda muddy), but basically states make your own or but Hawks kit (now unavailable).

I wish someone would make these gaskets for the spoilers.
I have the shorty spoiler on mine, but I can't find original gaskets anywhere. I was really hoping to find the correct style but looks like I'm going to have to make my own somehow.

Gm discontinued the gasket set as well as the wing, and there is no remaining stock. No surprise there.

I had the same problem so decided to stack rubber washers on the bolts to the point the wing was off the hatch about 1/4in. Then I tightened down the wing pulling it down just until it was a hair off the deck. Its also water tight. Here's a photo of of the end result. I think it looks better without the gasket.

Re: source for high rise wing gaskets-?
EDIT = I JUST TOOK A LOOK AT MY WING and had to change the info on this post.
I flipped the wing over and pushed on enough washers to build each one to 1/4in.(these are small rubber washers about 1/2in in diameter with the hole where the bolt barely slides through )I started with two 1/8in. washers and ended up using only one on each bolt. Then I flipped the wing over and gave it a test fit ,when I had them where I wanted them I just tightened it all down just until there was a hair line gap.
Just add or subtract as needed . Its simple .Remember I did this out of desperation .
Sorry about the confusion regarding this post but I was going by what I could remember from four years ago.I have the car in front of me now and can see exactly how it was done.
