hatch vibration driving me crazy.

at high way speeds as soon as I hit 70 mph there is what sounds to me is a buzzing vibration. I had my brother sit back there to try to pin point the noise. Its like clock work 70 mph and it starts. If I go faster it goes way. If I slow down to 60 mph it goes away. I thought it was my spoiler so I removed it but the noise is still there. My brother thinks its the top hatch area were the hatch meets the roof or the back seat speaker area. Can any one help. Its super annoying and driving me mad.

have you checked the slot where your spare wheel goes? might be that its not clammped down right, or something in there.

my tire and jack are in there pretty good. I notice the noise comes from both sides of the car. Sometimes just the right sometimes just the left. And sometimes both.

Re: hatch vibration driving me crazy.

It's a guessing game.

One place to check is the plastic piece which bridges the car from side to side at the rear of the headliner. If it's not broken, I'd be very surprised (though it may not be the cause of your irritation).
