When I bought my t/a, the rear hatch lock cylinder had been removed. I ordered a new lock cylinder which came in but it was missing the shaft that goes from the cylinder to the actual lock itself. I looked around online and it seems that this part is next to IMPOSSIBLE to find. I was wondering if anyone here knows where I can find this part or one that would fit this car? On ebay they have this part for 70-81's but none for third gens . Anybody know anything???

They don't work with a shaft!!!they work with a cable.

 

I would try checking some local junkyards or people on here parting out vehicles.

 

Now I have to ask if you looked at your lock/latch assembly and if the cable is still
there ?

If not again I mention to contact Denny at www.thirdgenranch.com to purchase the
cable and needed parts or the whole lock assembly w/ cable.

I have never had one apart and didn't know about the cable.
