Whats involved in replacing t-top seals?

My headliner started to sag the other day from my constant leaking of the t-tops. So this winter im going to replace the headliner and seals. What is involved in doing all of this. Are the seals and headliner difficult to replace?

I haven't replaced the headliner yet, but I did replace the t-top gasket. You'll need two tubes of sealer, a scraper (preferably plastic so you don't gouge the paint), and then I used a heat gun to warm the material to make it easier to take off. Make sure that you clean everything out really well, or else your tops will never seal properly. Putting in the new gasket is really easy, but you have to be careful not to get sealant everywhere. I used a tube for both sides, just to make sure that I had enough... Its a pretty straightforward job, but after you do it, I recommend realligning the tops, that turns out to be the hardest part. I actually might be getting it done again, but this time i'm going to have the headliner, kick panels, and the valences replaced also. I really didn't like the job that I did, and it was sort of a hassle, so I'm just going to pay someone to do it.

I guess I'm more of an engine guy, not a bodywork guy though...

Good luck,

-=-Mike

These will explain both the seals and the headliner for you.
Good luck
