I have a 1990 Iroc convertible, its terribly dark inside at night.I only have the 2 courtesy lights in the rearview. I have heard that the 92 convertible has courtesy lamps in the back seat. Was wondering if this was true and if it was, where are they located? Could I install a set in my car without too much trouble? Should my car have lamps underneath the dash. The previous owner made a mess of the wiring under the dash and I'm not sure if he removed them or not.

 

Yep ya should have a light under the dash on both sides of it.

Hmmm I know my 86 IROC Ragtop has the lights under the dash - Im not sure if they kept it all along though.
Where would the rear seat courtesy lamps be located...? That sounds interesting if that is the case...

My 88 Iroc has lights under the dash. My 90 RS convertible has none. I suppose you could wire a courtesy light to the rear bow and bring the wiring down along the hinge. I haven't seen a 92 convertible to confirm the rumor. Good luck, Lon.

 

Yes, 92 convertibles do have lights on the rear panels, down by the floor. Good luck finding these in the junkyard. One yard in Virginia had some 92 panels but wanted like $120 apiece! So everytime I visited it was sad to see the weather killing them. Some yards are so stupid.
