cant open hood :(

cant open hood :(

am having a problem getting the hood open it worked up untill a month ago now when i pull the handle inside the car have to play with the hood to get it to come up !~

you can try readjusting the latch.

I've also seen where the metal breaks by the latch bolts. Look there and make sure you don't need to weld it up. (I did)

If u are pulling the lever and its clicking, but not opening, its probably the spring. Try stretching the spring some with your hands, just pull it, make sure it lines up where its supposed to, and if it opens when its stretched, u have to get a new spring!!

This used to happen to me all the time. So what I do is when I pull the hood latch I close my fist and hit the hood about 4 inches from the bottom but away from the middle where the hood meets but I hit or smack it moderately w/ out denting or hurting the hood.
Then about once a month I spray the hood hook and spring w/ WD-40 and I haven't had a problem since w/ it opening.

NO NO NO!!! I had this problem and it is SO easy to fix. All you gotta do it get it to pop up, then WD40 or whatever, spray that on it. And that all you gotta do. Its simple! Hope I helped ya!
