T-top drip edge??
Did some searching, but could not find what I'm looking for. Was going to cut off my drip edge off of my t-tops yesterday, and realized that they just pulled out with a little elbow grease...lol. My question is....the part # on my drip edges is 20297494 and 95. The other numbers I found from research is 10198352 and 53. Looks like the one that has my part # has 3m tape and the other one doesn't. Problem is the edge that has the other part# actually looks like the ones I pulled off my t-tops?? If anyone knows the difference between the two(other than 1A's being a lot cheaper...lol.) I would appreciate the info. Here are the two links to them...

Re: T-top drip edge??
I can help a little on this one (did the test fits when we got our first prototypes in last year)
We offer both plastic and rubber versions. I had rubber ones from the factory on my 87 TA. Both versions will fit. The only issue reported by a few people is that some vehicles did not have provisions in them for the locator pins that are on the plastic version. Not a big deal and the pins can be cut off the sweeps without any issue or visual effect.

Re: T-top drip edge??
Not real sure what the difference is, however I did buy the ones from 1a Auto and found that they fit beautifully on my 84 camaro. Here is a brief video showing them. Here's a link, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rQ-X0xmlYic

Re: T-top drip edge??
I got the rubber ones from 1A auto, and I did have to take the t top off the car and remove a few screws. Wasn't a big deal. I put a nice soft blanket down on the kitchen table and placed the t tops gently face down , then began to remove the old drip seals and replace the new ones. Not a big job, but nice result for sure.

Sure, here ya go!
Wonder if I could ask everyone for a favor:
I'm trying to get the most 'Likes' I can for my car on camaronews. See my sig for the link. If everyone here could 'like' it, I think I could pull ahead of those 5th Gens. I would really appreciate it!

Re: T-top drip edge??
Those plastic ones looks to be a little different shaped than the rubber ones, unless my old ones were contorted from age? The ends seem to have more like "wings"??

Re: T-top drip edge??
The plastic ones do look good, I have had no problems with my rubber ones at all. When I bought mine it was back when 1A first started carrying them and the rubber ones did not have the strip of adhesive tape on them yet. I ended up using a little bit of epoxy(a drip) at each end and held in place with tape,a few minutes later I was pulling the tape off and returning the t roofs back to the car. When you get yours installed please take some photos and show us how you did. Good luck man.

Re: T-top drip edge??
Here are some pics of the rubber ones I bought from 1A auto. I am not going to lie, they were an absolute PITFA to put on!!!! I tried taking the t-tops apart, and could only go so far. Ended up tearing the crap out of them. So I trimmed them down with a razor blade and used black silicone to adhere them to the t-tops. They look alright, but are definately not installed the correct way.

Re: T-top drip edge??
I am not sure what you had problems with but I just disassembled my t tops yesterday to paint the edge and change the seals. I though they came apart fairly easy and the worst part was cleaning off the old weatherstrip adhesive that held the original drip edge. I will snap a pic when I am done but they won't be back on the car for a bit. i am STILL waiting for the paint shop to finish it.

I installed the plastic drip rails a few months ago, and they were pretty easy to install. I think it took less than 15 minutes for both.

Re: T-top drip edge??
Wow..i got lucky and caught a break for once. I badly needed a drip edge on my passenger side,,and was ready to get online and buy,,then i remembered i had a whole extra set of t tops in the basement,,drip edges are perfect on them..and they are mirrored! a good cleaning and some w d 40 (for the lever internals)should do the trick.

Hi,
Which one is better? The rubber one or the plastic one?

Re: T-top drip edge??
All personal preference. Both were original options from GM, so some people prefer to stick with what came on their car. I had rubber on mine from the factory but liked the plastic ones better because they wouldn't dry rot again or tear if the end got caught on something like the originals.

Did you really need to respond to all drip edge posts with the video? I think only one would have been sufficient
