Locked out of hatch...please help.

Ok so heres the story. I was in a hurry trying to grab my stuff out of the hatch of my TA bc I was just barly on time for work. I did not have the key in the whole way for my lock cyl for my hatch. Totally snapped the key :/ well....here is my problem the pull down motor is burnt up (been too lazy to change it...oh regrets) How can I get in my hatch? I have a sub box in the back so I cant pull any interior plastics...I have a parts car I can rob a lock cyl off of if I know how to break in to my hatch haha. Thank you in advance

Sorry, can't help you, but I am in a similar situation - having a sub box. I disconnected my electric trunk motor because it was broken and draining the battery, and the lock crapped out on me. Subscribed to figure out how to get in my trunk also so I can swap the lock out...

If you are not worried about ruining the lock cylinder you can drill out the insides. Then you will be able to unlock with a flat screw driver and remove the old lock.

How large do I want to drill it out? The size of the lock cyl?
