Removing old locks help

I got me a good pair of replacement locks that I tried to put on today and the entire thing was a mess. Discovered the rod connecting to the lock which allows you to lock the door from the outside was obviously disconnected from the lock and the lock was completely seized up by rust. Tried to get to the lock itself but my hands and forearms were too big to even get around it. I knew there are bigger guys than me who managed to get these things replaced with no problem.

In other news, my headlights are stuck in the up position again. AGGGHHH....

Re: Removing old locks help

use a large flat blade screwdriver to pry on the tab on the clip that holds the lock to the door. pull it off all the way and the lock is free.
