Broken Power Pull-down Rear Hatch Mechanism

Broken Power Pull-down Rear Hatch Mechanism
I am trying to help my parents from a distance with fixing what I am told is a broken power pull-down rear hatch mechanism (per the dealership) on their 1986 Camaro Sport 2.8L.
The hatch will not latch the hatch shut and the motorized latch will not come up from the recessed position. Additionally, I am told that part of the mechanism may be bent.
The dealership apparently cannot locate a replacement part or parts.
Pending any info from the dealer or my parents, does anyone know the part number for the mechanism assembly?
Also, does anyone know of a parts reseller who sells this mechanism, either new or used?

Now I just have to be told what actually needs replacing.
BTW, rockauto.com sells the motor for about $50 (aftermarket) or $79 (AC Delco). The motor housing sells for about $24 at the same site.
