I need to get my side passenger mirror off my 85 firebird.How do i get it off to replace it?

pull the door panel off from inside. There are two 7mm bolts that hold the mirror on. Unbolt them and take it off. Reverse process to take off. Its a good idea to replace the "mirror to door" gasket. They like to take in alot of wax and what not.....imo

Reverse process to take off.


oooops! i mean Reverse process to put on.

 

ok first u have to take the door panels off from the inside. after u have that off look directly behind the mirror and u will find two little bolts im not sure what size they are but they are there then take those two bolts out and the mirror will easily come off. a little gasket like piece will come off with the mirror too. keep it u will need it to put the mirror back on.

 

yeah just remove the door panel, then put the window down and remove the 2 10mm bolts that hold it on, if you have power mirrors, theres a connector you have to unplug also.
