Replacing hood shocks(help)
I just bought a set from Auto Zone for $15.99 for a steel hood.
So get home and try and replace them, the directions looked like a monkey wrote them up so their useless pretty much, so i look at what im working with.
It looks like you could either pop out that stub pointing towards the engine, or you could unscrew other side, but it dosent look like i should have to do that, plus i couldnt fit a screw driver or anything between it and the hood, so im guessing i just pop those little studs out like i mentiond 1st plus the directions says something about popping them off, so i pry and pry and pry, and finailly the metal from that stud starts shipping away so i stop, examin some more, and see theirs no other way to remove them, theirs a bracket thing that looks like its supposed to slide u and down but dosent. Any east way of doint this, or are these hood shocks supposed to be permanent?

That little clip that looks like it should slide out of the way doesn't slide at all. You just have to pry both sides of that clip outwards enough to clear the lip on that stud. Hell, bend the crap out those clips! You should have new ones on your new hood shocks.
