Center console...

Okay, I have heard that 4th gen console will fit in a 3rd gen with little problem. My question is can I use a 6 speed console in a AT car (for now). I will be getting a T-56, but will it work for awhile with a manual center console?
Thanks,
Douglas

Somebody has done this somewhere... Did you do a search of both boards (appearance and body/interior)? I know somebody did it.

The question was not rather it fits, I know it fits because somebody did it. The question is can I use the 6 speed shifter console with an AT for the time being....

Sure you can, Why wouldn't you be able to? The only thing is that you'll have a big hole for the shifter. I would make a leather boot and make it look like a 6-speed with a different shifter handle.
