I've been quoted $60 (plus $5 shipping) for a brand new GM power window motor. That seems too good to be true. Can they buy them that cheaply? This is like $30 - $60 less than retail. Comments?

I don't know if you're looking specifically for a GM replacement. But I looked into getting these at carparts.com, and they were like $30 each. Type 42-19 into the part # search engine, and then scroll down to replacement parts.

 

My dad bought one from JC Whitney for his truck. It was about $60.. I expected it to be a no-namer. Turns out the sucker was stamped "AC/Delco" and looked new! Go figure. Oh it's been a year or so and that motor still works fine.

Guess I got ripped off. Mine was $218 installed!

 

ouch...oh well...at least its fixed..and by the way..you get what you pay for..
