I just got my hands on a 91 TA conv. I have seen some cages which are designed for clearance and access, but I doubt any of them will fit a convertable. Has anyone ever used any kind of removeable cage? I haven't seen it done, but I figured some type of locking pins could be designed. If nobody sells a cage which would work anyone have some suggestions for a good custom shop to check out.

Thanks for the help man. I won't be doing anything with a cage anytime soon, but it's never too soon to get the info. The car is stock right now, but if it gets much faster I'll definitely want some kind of cage.

 

Is there anyone with a convertable who has a single bar hoop or a cage they have pics of?

 

I have a ragtop as well and plan on installing a custom 6-point cage. It will have a roll hoop behind the seats that will be tied into the rear at the rear seat location. The roll hoop will have a bar running along each door sill low to tie into the front. Removable bar running diagonally from the drivers side of the hoop up high to the passenger side low that is installed only at the track. Also door bars pinned in place at the track only. Allows easy ingress and reclining of the Corbeau Targa RS seats to recline, except at the track. Good luck, Lon.
