has anyone put guages in the big center vent (above the radio)??

has anyone put guages in the big center vent (above the radio)??

i was thinking of trying to put some guages in that vent. i have no heater or ac, so i odnt need it anyways. i have seen stereo stuff in there like an equilizer, but dont knwo if anyone has dane anything with guages.

I think I saw it once or twice in the magazines, it looked really slick! I say go for it. The only "problem" is it's not really in the line-of-sight, but it might be good for those "occasional glance" gauges, like trans temp and speedometer (haha)...

In addition to my MacEwen white overlays, I run a 5" Phantom tach and a windshield pillar pod with Phantom boost and EGT gauges. I have Phantom fuel pressure and oil pressure gauges where my center vent used to be. Looks great! FYI, I also have a Phantom nitrous pressure gauge in my ashtray that only shows when it's open. It all goes sweet with my REAL carbon-fiber dash kit...

I tried to squeeze my 2-1/16" cyberdyne digital VOLT and FUEL gauges in there but it was too tight (the bezels looked fu<t) so I made an aluminum panel to put them in the upper left vent next to the driver's door.
