I don't know if this is a problem with all camaros but it seems like when you get over 85-90 the car cuts through the air like a bus, things rattle and shake, etc.... I was wondering what the major airflow flaws are on the camaro, RS specifically, and some possible fixes? any help would be appreciated :-)

Well, what Chevy did was hand it over to Pontiac, and that's how we got the Firebird.

For real though, there's not a lot you can do. If your side windows are rattling and leaking air, check the tech articles on how to raise them a little, replace all your seals, and the most ambitious project I've ever heard, disassemble your entire dash, and put it back together with foam tape between everything.

My personal answer to hig-speed rattles is two 8" subs...

Hmm. Not sure. You sure your suspension is in good shape? Even my Sport Coupe handles well at 90. My IROC is as tight as a drum at any speed that I have the ***** to take it to.

Tightening things down will fix most rattles, but it sounds like the cause of the rattles is either a tire(s) out of balance, or the driveshaft is out of balance. A lot of people switch to the aluminum shafts for that reason.

You could hear a pin drop in my IROC at 120...and I haven't done any kind of dampening or added an aluminum driveshaft.

my 85 firebird steers great at the higher speeds, but once i break 100 or so, i can actually feel air that's seeping through the driver side windows. (it's kinda like a built in speedometer, so i know what i'm doing past 85) But the only noise i can hear is the air moving over the car, as far as the car shaking, moving on it's own, etc. it doesn't happen.

*Usually* a driveshaft out of balance will constantly shake the car and gets worse & faster at speed. If I were to guess I'd go for a tire out of balance. The bad thing is most balance machines (so I was told) only got to 55 since that is the safe(legal) speed limit that you are to drive on a highway. I had to have my tires balanced 3 times b 4 they didn't cause a shaking problem near 100. Wind noises,,,,I agree, louder stereo

Mine does the same thing at about 110. It starts shaking. Tire out of balance, thats what I would say. But my car doesnt act like a bus at those speeds. It acts like a damn rocket. And plus you better hope you have Z rated tires if you get up in the numbers I dont and if my car hadnt started shaking and made me slow down...... !!!
