how the heck can i get my new fiberglass hood to line up better. is there any tricks to doing it?

 

Perform these steps in this order:
1) Go to auto store and buy some body shims.
2) Get a buddy to help you.
3) Loosen bolts
4) Shift hood
5) Insert shims
6) Retighten bolts.
4) Repeat steps 3-6 until you can't speak coherently/see straight
4) Curse repeatedly.
5) Quit when it's "good enough."
