Users of Krypton cluster bulbs

I'm interested in swapping out the stock bulbs in my 85 IROC for something brighter, and I understand the kryptons are high intensity bulbs. Since that's so, will I need the full complement of 11 bulbs, or can I make do with, say, half stock and half krypton?

don't think u can install half of them. Here's why... each bulb on my TTA has a clear plastic light channel that funnels the light to the guage and needles. the differance in these blubs over stock is extreme. the cluster would most likey look like it has dead spots with partial implants.

By the way I have the red installed in my ride with white faced overlays by macewen motorsports

I agree with Turbo, it will look improper. Put all of the Kryptons on and just use your dimmer switch. I am supposed to get my Krypton light in two weeks from MacEwen Motorsports.
