A-pillar Interior molding?
Is anyone familiar with the rubber strip on the inner side of the a-pillar trim? It's almost like weather stripping but it doesn't seal against anything. I had it on my 'verts trim piece and the piece I picked up from a friend a bit ago. Both are decrepit and basically useless. Since I'm finally throwing on a triple pillar pod I want to replace it with something new. It's basically just a piece of foam rubber in the shape of an L with the short leg having adhesive on it.

Re: A-pillar Interior molding?
I noticed the same thing when I looked in from the outside of the windshield you could see the white paint of the a-pillar. I thought there should be something there like a rubber seal or something. I pulled off my a pillar interior trim pieces and there is just a old decrepit piece of rubber that doesn't touch against anything.
Re: A-pillar Interior molding?
Just took mine apart last night. And it looks like sh** so I crazy glued the portion that was just flapping in the wind and sprayed some fresh paint on both A-pillar trim pieces.
My guess is that those are there for:
1. Vibration dampening (FAIL)
2. Dust control (FAIL)
3. Conceal some wires when the part becomes deformed (FAIL again)
So I may be shopping for a used left side trim piece in good condition :/
