Swapping Guage Clusters

I was wondering if you can Swap my Guage Cluster in a 91 Z28 Camaro that reads 110mph to one that reads the 145mph ( or what ever the higher one was that was made.) and everything else being the same..???

and if so would you have to recalibrate the spedo???

As long as you're swapping the entire cluster it should be a direct swap with no recalibration necessary. That is assuming both clusters are electric speedos.

but one other thing would there be any problems with a 5 speed or auto

I guess what I'm really asking is I have a 91 Z28 305 Auto 700r4 uaaa (g92) and yes with a electronic spedo

IS ther anything that I would need to watch out for to swich to the Higher Spedo Cluster???? Thanks for the reply's

i preformed the swap out of a 91 automatic 5.7lz28 to a 92 3.1lv6 dash. worked fine.. everything in fact.. specially since i put that nice big engine in place of that 3.1 too

seriously it should work without any hitches at all.. not to mention look kick *** .
