door rust

My camaro has rust on the inside bottom front part of the door. kinda where the skin is welded to the frame of the door. I have looked at other thirdgens in my area and it appears that almost all of them have it. Is this a common problem, and if I get new doors what can I do to keep this from happening again?

At the shop we have something called rustmore. You need to strip the area rusting and whip it on with a clean cloth. Wait overnight wipe it off. This chemically changes the rust so it won't rust anymore. If it is deep rust you can fill pitts or remetal the area and refinish. Just a thought
