I thought i had that problem, but i could get the window up, not down. I fixed it by not pressing all the way down on the window button and it made a connection so the window came down. But in your case it is probably the window motor, or switch itself that has gone bad. Parts stores have the switches cheap but window motors are like $75 or so. Junkyards have lots of F-body's and you can strip their parts cheap

1. Check Fuse....Prolly not seeing as your other one works just fine. But just to rule that out check it anyway.

2. Check switch. Pull center console cover and check from bottom. pulling switch through cover will break retainer clips and your switch won'tsit flush if the clips are busted

3. Check thewiring at the motor. If you are getting power to it then the motor is bad. Replace motor.

Have fun!!!

I had the same problem with my 1995 firbird
vertable. At first the window on the driver side slowed down thenm it would only go up a few inches or so at a time. This process then started to get worse, as I pressed the button I actually help the window up with my other hand & no I was not driving at the same time.
Then eventually it stopped in the upright position thank god.
I do like LAR's idea of checking power at the motor to which I will try...
Does any one have any good trouble shooting methods for power windows. Is there a way to test the relays? Any one got any ideas?

Assuming you checked the fuse and its fine...

Easy fix. First try the other switch... the switches are interchangeable, doesn't cost anything to try the other one... If it doesn't work its the motor. Get a motor from a dealership or get a new ACDelco motor from a parts store. Don't go refurbished unless you have to. Take off the door panel, feel around the power window motor, there are three rivets holding it to the regulator. Determine where the rivets are and drill 3 holes in the inner door sheetmetal to expose the rivets. Drill them out and use the screws that came with the new motor to install the motor to the regulator, reassemble and you're done. I would also suggest testing the motor before bolting it in place just in case. No use installing a bad part. If this is at all confusing, get a GM shop manual.
