Has anyone in this forum ever attempted to shave the doors of a Camaro/Firebird? I was thinking of buying the VPA kit from Summit for my 91' RS. If so:

1) What is typically put in place of the old door handle? Sheet metal, fiberglass, body filler? How thick?

2) Can I wire a remote so that I have a button to pop each door (total 2 buttons) and one to arm/disarm an alarm system.

3) What would it cost for a professional to do the total installation?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

I'm doing exactly that because my car was broken into twice and both door locks have been removed so I'm just going to get rid of them all. I'm also planning on shaving the antenna.
