GT Auto Spoiler fit

I just bought the aero wing from GT Auto Assesories and when the body shop painted and installed it, the bottom front part of the third brake light housing won't sit flush on the rear deck. Anybody else have this problem?

Also and because I don't know where else to ask this, how do I become a member instead of a junior member?

Hey 89 formula I never had any one with this prob. Did you check to see if the bolts are tight?? How much gap is there?? I send some gaskets for around the bolts these may be causing the gap. try to tighten them (not to tight) or remove the gaskets. like I said I never had this prob. I would have to see it. If you can't get it right give me a call.

I'm going to try to move the spoiler around and see what I can come up with. There is some play around the two rear mounting bolts, so I may be able to fix the problem. In the mean time, I will try to send you a picture. Aside from the great paint job, I think the body shop may have rushed a little with the fit. Sorry, I'm not trying to make you guys look bad or anything. It's probably something simple to fix anyway.

GT Auto... how did you make the 4th gen style? i saw a guy who litterally took the wing off a 4th gen TA and fabricated it onto his car. it looked pretty similar, except the sides of the wrap arround didnt reach the B-Pillars. and which cars do you have to drill and fill holes for? would i have to do anything for a 85TA?

T-5 tranny. thank god, i couldnt stand an LG4 auto.
Plans for an LT-1 or LT-4,
also plans for dual flowmaster exaust.

Got a corvette when i was 16, paid for it myself, screwed the engine up (idiot light didnt work, and i trusted the guy when he said he just changed the oil), and it turned into a project car.
now my TA is my daily driver. not a bad one, but it needs to be faster.

What we had to do to get it to fit right is cut the wing in half and remove 3/4" from the center(lots of fun) Once the width was right for the lid we had to get the feet and the arms that go up the glass just right. We bolted the wing to the lid and filled in all the gaps on the underside with bondo to get the fit just right. We did the several times. This sucked. Once we hade a perfect part we painted it black block sanded all imperfections out buffed it to a high gloss finish. Then we used this part to make the mold. It took some time but it came out great. We also took out that big ugly brake light and recessed a light on the underside You have to look close at the pictures to see it. It will fit all third gen cars(not conv.) On all the cars you will have to fill the old mounting holes and drill new ones.
A body shop should do this and the wing for under $100 We send a kit for mounting the wing that makes this easy. I think this look better then the factory wing on the cars.
