That's a standard industrial product; you'll find it in every conceivable professional or industrial use you can possibly imagine, and then lots of others you had no idea. Has been that way for MANY DECADES. Can't begin to even guess what "bad reviews" might mean.

I have one that size from Costco. You can get something adequate for home use from practically anywhere; Grainger, HD & Lowe's, Sears, watch the classifieds & CL, any industrial supply, etc. Not sure where "around here" is, but where I am, (the US) those things are EVERYWHERE.

Re: painting your car

Little offtopic. I'm in the middle of painting my car.
When I started perspire the paint I noteiced that there were putty-filler-stuff(I'm not sure if thats the right word??) almost inch thick layer here and there. The car was formely wrecked in some parts. Left side fender were red under the black paint so it was replaced in some point. Mud guard has a huge dent.

But I think I'm doing fine so far.

If the last owner reads this (some dude from CA) I'd have couple of questions for you

Re: painting your car

Not about the HP or the size more so the specs ...13+ cfm at 45psi is bottom line of what you need. The further below 13cfm at 45psi you fall the larger the tank size you will need. 30 gallons will work with over 13cfm@45 any less and you will need upwards of 60 gallons because you are starting to count more on the reserve capacity rather than the actual output of the pump. 2 stage and belt driven is preferable to direct drive as you can upgrade and replace components.

Really doesn't matter the brand as long as it has the specs you need.
