Just pickup a Iroc Turbo hood at a swap meet and have a few question s about it before i put it on,
1,Do i have to change the original Hood shock to a low tension shock?
2,This hood did not have louvers on it i want to put mine on did not see any temp holes to drill to set them in any advise
3,I want to cut out the side holes on the hood whats the best way to do it..

1. If going from steel (stock) to fiberglass/smc (turbo) I personally would due to weight diffrence.

2. One trick is to put paint on the studs and mock them up where you want them, the paint will leave a template behind where to drill. Or Sharpie around (outline) the studs.

3. What ever you can that cuts clean and straight. I like metal saws (link below), but out of habit, I normally end up with a cut off wheel in my hand.

Do you have a picture of the hood?

My hood has nice screens behind the forward scoop holes. I changed my struts to the factory pieces for an early Camaro with factory fiberglass hood.

Look up 4134 hood strut on ebay and you'll see them. I can't post the link yet because I'm using my BlackBerry playbook and I haven't learned how yet, hahahah!
