Rear Seat Removal?? I need pics.

I went to the cleveland autorama and got some ideas for my camaro. Seeing I've just brainstormed this and I won't get a chance to do it until this weekend. Does anyone have pictures of the interior of the car with the rear seat removed. (i.e. is it carpeted underneath the seat by factory standard) Besides the fact of weight, removal will allow me to hopefully let the car look better on the interior, and then I won't be the asked to drive everywhere

All you need is a 13mm wrench or socket and you could have answered this for yourself in less than 5 minutes. But considering I just had the seats out for some interior mod's I guess I can tackle it. Under the bottom cushion is some carpeting. But also there is a hole cut out of teh carpeting with a welded metal hump piece about 8" wide that sticks up. The bottom seat cushion attaches to it. I have the custom interior which includes the split folding rear seats. They are attached by one 13mm nut to the hinge of the seat at the outer edge. The seat then folds forward and slides off the pin at the center hump. Now that the seats are out you will see what you are dealing with. The sheet metal hump under the lower seat cushion would have to be removed or better yet fabricate a carpeted package shelf that attaches to it to smooth out the floor. It could also make a good place to hide a couple of amps and perhaps some speakers as well. I plan on making this mod someday. Good luck, Lon.
