Stripping front bumper cover?

Guys, I need to replace my front bumper cover on the IROC. The replacement cover is Black right now with paint chipping. I need to know what procedure will work the best to strip it?
Sand it(the best bet). Or a chemical strip?

Thanks

Brendan

I'd sand it, the stripper might eat into the material. If I remember right, i used 80, then 120 then 200 then 400 grit, you will probably want to go finer than that though, I think my body guy took it as far as 1200. Of course he cheats and uses an orbital sander, I blocked it good luck
