I need a quick answer to a simple almost stupid question.

I need an answer to this question before I sell this part. It's a shifter **** from a 1984 Trans Am for a auto. Will it fit a 85ish Camaro? I'd think it would but I just want to double check here. Thanks!

didn't 85 camaro's still have the round ****? the attachment is probably different but it might work. If not just swap the shifter assembly.

As long as they are both the same trannys. Like you can't use the three speed on the four speed.

GM is cheap (also known as efficent). I highly higly doubt that they had different shifer bases for the Camaro and Firebird w/ 700-r4. It should fit, I'll just send him a pic and tell him it's at his own risk. What do you mean by round? The one with the button on the side? They all work the same way the button the side is just more indirect, it turns a level which pushes down the white thing in the center and then lets you remove it from that gear.
